Thursday April 3rd Update

Ellie's status remained about the same today. Her feedings have been increased, and all her vital signs look great. She is up to 3lbs 4 ounces. She desaturated a few times today, but bounced back on her own. Her doctor told me today that she will most likely come home in 3-5 weeks. It depends on how her breathing progresses. Dr. Lyons explained that with premies like Ellie, you tend to see a lot of progress in the first 2 weeks, not much in the next few, and then a lot toward the home stretch as she nears her actual due date. Ellie's gestational age is 33 weeks today. It is so crazy to think that she should still be in my tummy for the next 7 weeks! She is doing really well, a little fighter like her sister!

You are doing an awesome job Jeffrey and Sarah! This is a lot to go through and you've been wonderful! The girls and I can't wait to visit! Tell Goose that Jill and Jenna are ready to play princesses and dance away!
